You have to consider that!
Actually there are specifications in Germany about the volume of the exhaust! These regulate, how loud it may finally roar from the tailpipe. But how loud should it actually be? As loud as a pneumatic hammer or rather like a drill?
As a car driver, you can actually orientate yourself on the volume of a vacuum cleaner or lawnmower as a limit value.
But how is the whole thing actually determined exactly? You can find out on the following article.
There is hardly anyone who does not want a rich sound from their car. After all, this is a very important part of the emotions that a car arouses in us. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a deep bubbling or a high-speed screeching – it can be loud!
Nevertheless, there are of course limits set for us. Because it must not be too loud:
As for everything in Germany, there are of course noise regulations for cars. These rules are first and foremost intended to minimize noise pollution. This is also comprehensible to the public. After all, none of us would like to be regularly woken up at night by a loud exhaust pipe.
But what happens if the exhaust was installed too loud?
If the exhaust is too loud, a fine may be imposed! But it gets really expensive, especially if the exhaust has been tuned and these changes have not been entered. Because then the operating license expires.
But how loud is that really?
Sports cars, on the other hand, are an exception: the volume of a sports car may be as high as 75 decibels! This volume is comparable to a lawn mower or a vacuum cleaner. But that too will change.
The EU has agreed that noise emissions from new vehicles should be reduced to 68 decibels by 2028!
